Nasreddine Nabi expects fine margins to decide Sekhukhune showdown

Kaizer Chiefs face a serious test tonight when they encounter Sekhukhune United in what will be a battle for the Betway Premiership top spot at FNB Stadium.

The two teams are tied on 13 points after five matches, and a winner in this game could unseat the defending champions at the top, who are a point clear following a win over Magesi over the weekend.

Amakhosi head coach Nasreddine Nabi says the log standings tell the story of a challenging game that awaits them tonight.

"If you look at the standings, it is going to be a very tough game against an in-form and experienced opponent, led by an experienced coach.

"We have felt during preparation that our players are willing to do anything it takes to grab the victory. The game will be decided on the minor details, so our players must maintain their concentration levels."

There are still a couple of new signings that are yet to make their debuts for Chiefs this season; some have been recovering from injuries but are now back in training with the team. Nabi gives an update on how he plans to introduce them.

"Obviously, there are players that have been recruited, but some of them arrived here without having a proper pre-season, some are injured as well, so we need to be very careful incorporating them into the squad."

With still more than five players to make their debuts for the club, Nabi says it’s important that they introduce the new players gradually, especially those coming back from injuries like Ighodaro.

Nabi has also reiterated the trust that he has in his assistants and says the period when he was away attending to his injured wife was good enough to show everyone the quality of his technical staff.
