Saka was seen with ice strapped to his leg following his substitution during Sunday's win over Ipswich Town, after he was on the receiving end of a dangerous challenge from Leif Davis just before halftime. The Ipswich defender was shown a straight red card for the studs-up tackle that struck Saka's Achilles.
Despite the impact of the challenge, Arteta confirmed that the England international has recovered well and may be in contention to play in the midweek encounter, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
"We have to wait and see how Bukayo reacts after today's training session, but there's nothing that appears to be too serious," said Arteta in his pre-match press conference. "If we decide to include him, I think there's a good chance he can play tomorrow."
Wednesday's match carries significant implications for the title race. Arsenal must avoid defeat to keep their Premier League hopes alive - otherwise, a Liverpool title win could be confirmed without Jürgen Klopp's side having to take the pitch.
In addition to providing a fitness update, Arteta also addressed ongoing speculation surrounding Saka's future. The 22-year-old's current contract runs until 2027, but both the player and manager have previously expressed a desire to extend his stay at the club.
"When the time comes, we will have those conversations," Arteta said. "The club is handling the situation well. Everything is in the right place."
As the Gunners prepare for one of the most decisive fixtures of their season, the potential return of Saka - one of their most influential players - could prove critical in their efforts to remain in the title hunt.
