Mario Lemina: Galatasaray team-mate Victor Osimhen 'world's best striker'

The Super Eagles striker remains among Europe's most prolific attackers and continues to attract interest from several leading clubs ahead of the off-season transfer window.

Osimhen once again proved decisive by scoring twice in Galatasaray's 4-2 win over Antalyaspor, a result that confirmed the club's fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title. The victory also secured the second league championship of his career since arriving in Istanbul.

Since joining Galatasaray in 2024 for a Turkish record 75 million-euro fee, Osimhen has delivered extraordinary numbers. He has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions.

His first season yielded 37 goals, a key contribution to a domestic league and cup double, while this campaign has still produced 22 goals despite injury setbacks.

Lemina pointed to Osimhen's explosive movement, strength and clinical finishing as defining traits that make him such a consistent threat in the final third.

"Victor Osimhen is the world's best striker. He is the most complete striker I've seen in my life. I think he's the best I've seen in my life. He's a special one", Lemina said on The 360 Experience with Onan Khosi, via Forza Cimbom.

"We love each other with Osimhen. We always want to win. When someone shouts, it's a positive thing for the team. I love that. Osimhen is a warrior. His best quality is his competitiveness. He always wants to win."
