Lyle Foster on target against Tottenham as Man City get back to winning ways

Lyle Foster came off the bench to score as Burnley drew 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur while Manchester City were back to winning ways in the Premier League after a 2-0 success over Wolves.

It was Spurs that drew first blood in the at Turf Moor when Micky van de Ven found the back of the net in the 38th minute.

The home team hit back just before halftime though when another defender Axel Tuanzebe netted.

Foster was introduced from the bench by head coach Scott Parker and put his team in the lead with a close-range finish with 14 minutes remaining.

Tottenham though walked away from the fixture with a point when Cristian Romero netted on the stroke of full-time.

Manchester City 2-0 Wolves

Man City brushed off two damaging defeats this week when they saw off the Premier League's bottom club at the Etihad Stadium.

Omar Marmoush, preferred in the starting line-up to Erling Haaland, struck as early as the sixth minute.

Pep Guardiola's charges struggled to break down the relegation candidates until first-half stoppage-time when Antoine Semenyo found the back of the net.

The victory means City move to within four points of table-toppers Arsenal, who host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
