Milford FC goalkeeper Lungelo Nkosi left Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the season and linked up with the Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) log leaders.
The 22-year-old is having a great time at the Richards Bay-based side and reveals that it was a decision well taken to go elsewhere for game time.
"Milford is a professional team, at Chiefs I used to play for the DDC team, but now coming to Milford to play for a professional team - it's another level.
"Trainings are different and the environment is different," explained the young shot-stopper.
At Milford, Nkosi is part of an ambitious team that is strongly challenging for promotion and also pushing hard in the Nedbank Cup.
He says life has been good at the Dr Xhanti Pupuma-owned side...
"Life has been good, and the change of environment has been great. I'm happy where I'm at and I love this team. We work well together with the technical team and the chairman."
During his time at Chiefs, Nkosi was part of a very successful project that has seen players like Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba, Samkelo Zwane, and others be promoted to the senior team.
On the Nedbank Cup, Nkosi says they are challenging for both competitions, but with a stronger focus on the league
"For us, we are going for both. We want to win both the league and the Nedbank Cup, but we are mostly focused on the league because we have a 100% chance to win the league.
"We have a good team, everyone loves one another and we work hard for one another."
In last night’s last 16 draw in Randburg, Milford were pitted against another KwaZulu-Natal side, Mkhambathi FC, a team that shocked another MFC outfit, Lerumo Lions, beating them 2-1 in front of a packed Sugar Ray Xulu stadium in Claremont, Durban.
