This follows her standout performance in the recently concluded Pirates Cup, where she walked away with the MVP accolade after helping her side lift the trophy.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Nkoane says starting the season on a high has already set the tone and placed the team on the right path toward achieving its ambitions.
“As we start a new season, I hope I can stay consistent, improve in all areas of my game, and play a positive role in contributing to the team’s goals. Beginning the campaign on a high gives us confidence and momentum, but more importantly, it sets the standard for the hard work and discipline we need to maintain throughout the season to achieve our objectives. It’s a good foundation to build on, but we know the real work is still ahead,” said Nkoane.
Nkoane believes their Pirates Cup triumph has played a key role in strengthening team unity while setting the tone for the challenges ahead.
“The Pirates Cup win was very important for us as a team. It helped build belief, strengthened our unity, and showed what we are capable of when we fully commit to our game plan. Winning a tournament like that ahead of the season boosts morale and creates a winning mentality, which will be crucial as we prepare for tougher challenges,” added Nkoane
The 28-year-old also expressed her desire to continue delivering strong performances while embracing a leadership role within the squad.
“Being named MVP at the Pirates Cup was a very special moment for me. I’m grateful for the support from my teammates and the technical staff because individual recognition comes from collective effort. I felt confident, focused, and determined to help the team succeed.
“Looking ahead to the 2026 season, my goal is to keep growing as a player, remain consistent, contribute through both performances and leadership, and help the team compete for trophies while pushing myself to reach the next level in my career.”
