Last-gasp equaliser earns TS Galaxy a point against Royal AM

A dramatic equaliser from Yaimil Medina in stoppage time saw TS Galaxy come back to claim a point a 1-1 draw with Royal AM at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.

Mxolisi Mchuphu, Tshepo Rikotso and Mfundo Thikazi were recalled to the Royal AM starting lineup, while Melusi Buthelezi came back into goal for the Rockets.

Thwihli Thwala took the lead with just two minutes gone when Elias Pelembe got on the end of Macuphu's low cross from the right into the box to slot beyond Buthelezi.

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Bernard Parker nodded wide in the 23rd minute from a corner kick. Parker and Orebotse Mongae were off target for the hosts. while Kamogelo Sebelebele's effort was thwarted by Xolani Ngcobo.

Royal almost equalised on the hour mark when Mfundo Tshikazi's strike was snapped up by Buthelezi.

Galaxy were the team on the front foot in the final half an hour of the match and they were finally rewarded for that dominance when Rockets' Venezuelan inport Yaimel Media slotted home in the fourth minute of added-on time.
