The 54-year-old endured a turbulent few months at the KwaZulu-Natal club that was eventually expelled from the PSL, leaving Maduka in limbo until Magesi came calling.
Dikwena tša Meetse kick off the Betway Premiership with a Limpopo derby against Polokwane City this Saturday, and Maduka has outlined his plans after taking over from Owen da Gama recently.
"It's good to be back – that's what we know best, it's to be involved in football, so it's good to be back and be part of the Magesi family," said Maduka.
"It's very important for us not to wait for the last minute, where you think you're going to do well in the second round, which is always very difficult.
"So it's very important for us to go this season and make sure we start well, go all out in the first round, get the points that we need so that we're comfortable enough for the second round not to be under unnecessary pressure.
"Because you must remember that all the teams in the second half become very difficult – some are fighting for top eight, some want to win the league, others want to survive relegation, so that alone makes the second round very difficult."
Maduka says he wants to improve Magesi’s away record to complement the success managed by his predecessor at Seshego Stadium.
"It's very important that, like I said, when playing away from home to get points, so whenever we play at home, in front of our supporters, we have to make sure we get the points we need," he added.
"We want to make sure that the good run continues with us winning games at home, so that also, when we go away we can also improve because, as much as we did well at home [last season], we did not do well away, so it's important to balance."
