The club secured third place and booked a spot in the Europa Conference League, which is another big stage for the Bafana Bafana star.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Links reflected on the 2022/23 season.
"It was obviously a crazy season. You could see at least four teams were fighting for medals right until the end. It was really a crazy season and I'm just happy that we managed to get a medal," he said.
"After the last game obviously, it was a crazy game as well because I think you saw what happened we were two goals down and we managed to come back to get a draw and, in the end, we got a medal. We never gave up."
Links joined Aarhus from Cape Town City in September 2019 and is now a regular in one of the top leagues in Europe.
He managed a total of 32 appearances in all competitions in the campaign that ended several weeks ago.
"I can't say it got easier but I've adapted well and I've settled now, I'm enjoying. I love the country, the country in general obviously, super nice country. The football as well is really good," he added.
In about four weeks, Aarhus have to do it all over again with the Europa Conference League added to their schedule.
Links feels the fact that they were so close to champions FC Copenhagen suggests they can challenge for honours.
"We were not too far from the champions, FC Copenhagen. Obviously, we set a target before the season even starts, we do have targets obviously but I can't say much about that right now."
