Honor South Africa CEO Fred Zhou says the company’s partnership with SABC Sport is a significant step in expanding its footprint within the South African market.

This follows the announcement of a strategic partnership between Honor South Africa and SABC Sport, which sees the tech brand become the official technology devices sponsor of the public broadcaster.

As part of the agreement, SABC Sport production crews will gain access to Honor’s full AI-powered devices designed to enhance productivity and content creation.

“We are delighted about this significant partnership between Honor and SABC Sport. Honor will serve as the official technology devices sponsor for SABC Sport. This partnership allows SABC Sport to experience Honor’s AI-powered ecosystem first hand and discover how our technology can support world-class sports broadcasting,” said Zhou.

The partnership follows Honor’s successful engagement with South African football fans through its support of Bafana Bafana and the official watch parties hosted during the national team’s recent fixtures. SABC Head of Sport Keletso Totlhanyo says the partnership has the potential to transform the way sports content is captured and shared with audiences.
