The 26-year-old spent the recently concluded campaign on loan back at Chippa United, where he emerged as one of the Chilli Boys’ standout performers during a difficult season for the club.
Mosele made 28 appearances in the Betway Premiership, along with two more in cup competitions, establishing himself as a key figure in central midfield.
The player has been on the books of Pirates since joining from Baroka FC in July 2021 but has struggled for consistent game time at the Soweto giants and his latest stint marked a third spell at Chippa.
It is understood the Gqeberha-based side are currently not in a financial position to pursue a permanent transfer, meaning the midfielder is expected to report back to Pirates for pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Mosele previously showed his pedigree during his rise at Baroka, which earned him selection for South Africa’s Olympic squad in 2021 under coach David Notoane before securing his move to the Buccaneers.
He also has five Bafana Bafana caps, although he later fell out of favour under national team coach Hugo Broos.
Unless fresh negotiations emerge in the coming weeks regarding a permanent exit, Mosele is expected to fight for his place at Rand Stadium next season but will again face stiff competition for regular game time.
The Bucs currently have Makhehleni Makhaula, Thalente Mbatha, Abdoulaye Mariko, Simphiwe Selepe and Sihle Nduli, to name a few, in the engine room.
