Four Arsenal players including Leandro Trossard sidelined for international action

Arsenal have confirmed that four first-team players have withdrawn from international duty during the upcoming break due to fitness concerns.

Defensive duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, along with Leandro Trossard and Jurrien Timber, will remain in London to continue treatment rather than join their respective national squads.

Saliba had been set to represent France national team, while Gabriel was in line to feature for Brazil national team. The pair were due to meet in a high-profile friendly clash in the United States, with France also scheduled to face Colombia national team and Brazil preparing for a fixture against Croatia national team.

Trossard had been named in the Belgium national team squad for matches against the United States men's national soccer team and Mexico national team, but will now miss both games.

Timber's absence follows a recent injury setback. The Dutch defender had already missed Arsenal's last two matches after being forced off against Everton, and he has now been replaced in the Netherlands national team squad.

The Netherlands are scheduled to take on Norway national team and Ecuador national team in upcoming friendlies.

The quartet will instead use the international break to focus on recovery at club level, a decision that highlights Arsenal's cautious approach as they manage player fitness during a demanding stage of the season.
