Chippa United held Baroka on a 2-2 draw

The struggling Premier League sides Baroka FC and Chippa United shared a point when they finished their DsTV Premiership clash on a 2-2 stalemate at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Saturday afternoon.

In overall Chippa dominated the better part of the game and produced the first notable chance to make the visitors uncomfortable however Bienvenu Eva Nga was unable to convert the ball.

In the 16th minute Baroka were awarded a free kick and Sekela Sithole navigated the back of net but find Lloyd Kazapua ready to save it.

Chippa hit back six minutes later when Siphesihle Mkhize had a curling strike outside the area deflected away before Eva Nga headed Zuko Mdunyelwa™s cross over target.

In the 66th minutes Chippa broke the deadlock with a goal from Riaan Hanamub.

The relegation threatened Baroka eventually opened the net when Dan Ndlovu beat two challenges and burst into the area from the left to slot the through the legs of Kazapua.

Ndlovu came in three minutes before half time, as a substitute to Richard Mbulu.

The Limpopo boys came back and took the lead in 84th minute when Decide Chauke produced a clinical finish.

In the last 15 minutes of the match, Baroka were still leading the hosts 2-1, however Chippa bombed their defensive and eventually Thokozani Sekotlong reached the back of the net to equalise for his side.

Kurt Lentjies charges are standing on number 12 in log with 28 points and Baroka remain in the bottom of the league with 22 points.
