Borussia Dortmund hand Ole Pohlmann his first professional contract

Following an impressive season with Borussia Dortmund's U-23 team, midfielder Ole Pohlmann has secured his first professional contract with the club.

The 22-year-old talent has committed to a two-year deal with the BVB and now sets his sights on making the leap to the first team.

Pohlmann joined Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg in 2021 for a transfer fee estimated at around 100,000 euros.

Since then, he has amassed 68 appearances for the BVB U-23s and played a vital role in their successful fight against relegation from the 3. Liga last season.

Having represented the Germany U-18 national team in the past, Pohlmann showcased his abilities in the 3. Liga last season, contributing three goals and eight assists in 31 appearances.

Pohlmann has expressed his desire to one day feature in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund.

"I am overjoyed to have been given the opportunity at BVB and to sign my professional contract," said Pohlmann.

"I will keep stepping on the gas every day, would like to thank everyone who has supported me so far, and hope to make my Bundesliga debut here one day."

The club has also confirmed that he will don the number 30 shirt starting from the upcoming season.
