AFCON Pamoja visa to give football fans access to all three host countries

The three east African Countries will make history by jointly hosting the 2027 PAMOJA AFCON, with the tournament scheduled to take place from 19 June to 17 July 2027.

Speaking at the Africa Sports Biz forum in Rwanda, Lung’aho says making the region easily accessible to supporters will be an important part of the tournament’s success.

"We are working with many partners throughout the continent so you get to appreciate how much work is being done behind the scenes. We want to welcome the world to Africa, and the Pamoja visa is at the forefront of this because people will be able to travel without any restrictions."

The 2025 AFCON in Morocco broke a record of one billion digital views across social media with 1,116, 959 spectators having attended the games by the end of the quarterfinals according to figures published by 360 sport.

Lung’aho says their main goal is to have even more fans attending the matches in the stadiums.

The CEO also added that by having that many travellers in the region they are confident that it will boost the economies of the three host countries, while making sure that their sponsors get a return on investment.
