Adnan Beganovic confirms only two weeks off for TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic says the squad will start building up to the 2025/26 season as early as the first week of June.

The Rockets wrapped up their campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon after Mpho Mvelase snatched the equaliser at the death to deny the hosts maximum points.

Galaxy are one of only two teams – the other being Chippa United – to have played their final Betway Premiership fixture this weekend.

However, Beganovic confirmed their holiday will be short.

"Yesterday, I decided to give the players fourteen days off to rest, recover, and reset the minds. We will start working again in June, and I think our pre-season will begin in the last week of June," said the Bosnian boss.

Galaxy endured a rough start to the current season, leading to the abrupt resignation of Sead Ramovic in November.

Beganovic says one way to avoid a repeat is to return to work as soon as possible.

"We don't have a big break to enjoy and to celebrate too much. We want to start working hard for next season, because I can't allow what happened this season to happen again next season," declared Beganovic.

Asked whether he was bracing himself for another clear-out by chairman Tim Sukazi given the club’s business model to sell their best assets and then re-invest, Beganovic explained his view.

"I had a clear conversation with the chairman. When we decide to sell somebody, we decide together. We also can't afford to sell all of our best players," Beganovic pointed out.

The coach believes Galaxy will still be strong next season even if a few key players leave the club during the transfer window.
