The Springboks touched down in Auckland late on Wednesday night, arriving just before midnight as preparations ramp up for their double-header against the All Blacks.
Auckland is home to a strong South African expat community, and a video shared on social media captured dozens of Bok fans - many clad in green and gold - gathering to greet Siya Kolisi and his teammates on arrival.
The first clash with New Zealand takes place at Eden Park on Saturday, 6 September, followed by a second Test a week later at Sky Stadium in Wellington on 13 September.
From there, the Boks return to Durban to meet Argentina on 27 September, before closing out their Rugby Championship campaign against the Pumas in London on 4 October.
"We travelled well, and although it's a long trip to New Zealand, we are excited to be here and we are looking forward to the challenge ahead," said Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus.
"It's always tough playing here, but the group is in good spirits, and we are fully aware of the magnitude of the task ahead.
