The hosts dominated every facet of the contest to secure a bonus-point victory and preserve their unbeaten home record against the Irish side.
Jurie Matthee stood out with a 20-point haul, showcasing calm leadership in the absence of senior flyhalves. While his goal-kicking was inconsistent, his game management, tactical kicking, and solo try highlighted a promising performance.
Evan Roos powered over for two maul tries in a dominant display, while the likes of Seabelo Senatla, Wandisile Simelane, and captain Ruhan Nel added spark in the backline.
If the scoreboard flattered the Stormers early on, Leinster's ill-discipline ensured the gap widened rapidly. The visitors conceded penalty after penalty in both halves - six consecutively at one point - and were ultimately reduced to 13 men in the second half.
Their set piece disintegrated under pressure, with Gus McCarthy struggling at lineout time and their scrum dominated by the youthful Vernon Matongo and veteran Neethling Fouche.
From the outset, the Stormers controlled proceedings. While both teams entered the encounter understrength - Leinster missing their British and Irish Lions and the Stormers without their Springboks - it was the Cape side that imposed their will. They ruled the set pieces, won the aerial battle, and starved Leinster of meaningful possession or territory.
Although early-season rust showed in the form of squandered chances and missed kicks at goal, the Stormers' intent was never in doubt. Matthee opened the scoring with a penalty from an early scrum infringement and, despite missing a few attempts in the first half, steered the ship with composure and flair.
Leading 6-0 at halftime, the Stormers needed a spark - and they found it immediately after the interval. A poor Leinster clearance was punished by winger Senatla, whose quick hands sent scrumhalf Stefan Ungerer over for the season's first try.
With the floodgates now open, the Stormers piled on the pressure. Roos, a force of nature from the base of the scrum, scored two powerful tries from lineout mauls, exploiting Leinster's crumbling discipline and numerical disadvantage. Replacement Ruan Ackermann also got on the scoresheet on debut, before Matthee capped off his standout evening with a dummy and a solo effort to seal the bonus point.
