Superstar Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu fired up for Bok return in Buenos Aires

The talent last played in the blue and white hoops of the Stormers in the United Rugby Championships quarterfinals in May. He was needlessly injured while scoring a try against Cardiff and required surgery on his ankle.

"Obviously, it was disastrous when it happened and it wasn't enjoyable," the 24-year-old reflected in Tuesday's press conference.  

"Where we got so far in the URC, and just to get taken out of there, not be able to help my team, was frustrating, and then the Springbok equation was even more frustrating.

"But I'm really not one to dwell. I just used the time to look at the game from a more technical aspect and develop areas of my game I probably didn't have time to do before."

While the pressure-cooker atmosphere of a Test match against a dangerous Los Pumas outfit in the cauldron of Estadio Jose Amalfitani is hardly an easy return, Feinberg-Mngomezulu has comfort in the fact that veteran Cobus Reinach is at scrumhalf.

"I love Cobus," said a beaming Feinberg-Mngomezulu.

"I'll never forget the first time we played the All Blacks, I wanted to take a shot at goal from distance, and he was the one who pointed at the goal for me. That defines our relationship.

"He really takes me under his wing, but we're also good buddies. Sharing the field with him takes a lot of pressure off me. He's fitter than a lot of the guys, he's fast, and he uses his experience to help guys like myself. "

To have the superstar back in the green and gold ahead of Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Tour is good news for Bok management. There is ample cover with double World Cup winner Handre Pollard and the slick Manie Libbok.

But Feinberg-Mngomezulu isn't looking too far ahead. He knows the value of putting in a proper performance on Saturday.

"I'm coming back from injury, I can't really be thinking two weeks ahead," he revealed.

"I really have to think about this Saturday, to be honest. I've played against the All Blacks four times now. I enjoyed it every single time we've played. And that's it. I have to think about Saturday."
