John Dobson's side welcome the Scarlets to Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, looking to continue a strong recent run that included a bonus-point victory over the Sharks in the URC and a dominant 49-12 thrashing of Bristol Bears in the Champions Cup.
"Home matches in any competition are matches that you must win, otherwise you put yourself under pressure," Snyman said.
Scarlets arrive in good form after back-to-back wins, will provide a stern test with their expansive approach and Snyman is under no illusions about the challenge awaiting the Stormers.
"They're definitely a quality side. They've got some great backs and they do play a nice style of rugby, and like to put you under pressure with ball in hand," he said.
"For us, it's just about ironing a few things out that we discussed this week, but we're expecting a nice game from them."
While the Stormers sit fourth on the URC log after a solid start to the campaign, Snyman insists the hard work is still ahead of them.
"At this stage of the season, there's a lot of focus on ourselves and getting our game right. We'll keep building and keep working on it," he added.
"The way we won against Bristol was almost completely different to the way we played against the Sharks, although there were moments that looked the same. We're trying to develop all aspects."
"A lot of hard work still lies ahead for the next two weeks and we want to make sure that we finish this block that ends in November well."
