Lions welcome back key figures for Glasgow clash

The Lions will welcome back some much-needed muscle when they return to United Rugby Championship action against Glasgow Warriors at Ellis Park on Saturday.

There is just one change in the backline, with Sanele Nohamba returning at scrumhalf in place of Morne van den Berg.

Up front, there are several key changes.

Powerful No 8 Francke Horn is back after undergoing ankle surgery, with Emmanuel Tshituka shifting to blindside flank to accommodate him.

Ruan Venter shifts to lock with Willem Alberts dropping out of the matchday 23.

It will be an emotional match for Venter, who lost his father earlier in the week.

"It is very noble of him to still put himself up for selection after what happened," said scrum coach Julian Redelinghuys.

"The boys will pull together to make it a good day for him as well."

Redelinghuys was pleased to see their preferred No 8 Horn back in the side.

"He adds a fair bit to our attack on the edges and our set-piece."

Saturday's match kicks off at 16:15.
