The winger left the field on Saturday during the Lions victory over Ospreys in the URC with a tight hamstring and was replaced by Quan Horn.
Redelinghuys has conceded should Cronje miss the weekend’s clash, and potentially the Lions’ next game against Stade Rochelais in the Investec Champions Cup, there are players who can slot into the left-wing position.
"That guy is a wild dog hey, he was playing with a tight hamstring on the weekend so that's why we had to take him off and we aren't sure what the damage is like, although he will tell you that he's fine and he wants to play. I hope that he is, but we are just managing him for now and I'm not sure if he'll be ready this weekend and next weekend."
Redelinghuys also suggested that centre Henco van Wyk will be available for selection against the Bulls if he is cleared following a final Head Injury Assessment (HIA). van Wyk missed the game against Ospreys due to concussion and was replaced by youngster Ethan Adams.
There are injury concerns in the Bulls camp as well, with Stravino Jacobs, Marcell Coetzee, Thaakir Abrahams and Janco Uys all picking up knocks against Munster over the weekend. Redelinghuys says the Lions did not prepare for the Jukskei derby based on the Bulls’ injury concerns, as they do not know who the Bulls will field come the weekend, with both sides expected to name the starting line-up by tomorrow.
