The Stormers were boosted with the return of several Springbok players who missed out on their opening two United Rugby Championship (URC) matches, with the exception of Siya Kolisi, who made his return to the side in the Cape-based outfit’s defeat to Edinburgh last weekend.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s experience and impact saw him pick up a Man of the match award in their 39-22 win over Hollywoodbets Sharks on Saturday evening.
"The backfield rotation and understanding between the two has been magic."
Another player Dobson has lauded is Hacjivah Dayimani, who played a vital role in the Stormers victory over the Sharks, scoring two valuable tries. Dobson says Dayimani has metamorphosed, adding that he has become more determined. However, he says Dayimani needs to produce more consistent performances over a year to be considered for a springbok call-up.
"Two things have changed in Hacjivah's game; his physical ability and stopping power, but the other thing I've enjoyed about him of late is his leadership. He now needs to do this for a whole year because there's always been flashes of brilliance with him."
The next test for the Stormers will see them host Bristol Bears in the opening round of the Investec Champions Cup group stages, with the mentor saying it is a must win clash.
