“Excitement levels are very high after we secured ourselves a spot in the semifinals, but the job is not done. It actually starts tomorrow. We know what is expected of us. So it won’t be easy but, and I expect my team to go full force from the first whistle till the end,’’ said Zulu.
The SA Fast5 star says their two Wednesday fixtures showcased the team’s potential to go all the way in the championship, he adds that he believes they were the better team in both matches.
“We played our hearts out today and left everything on court. Everyone showed up, I personally feel like we were the better team in both matches today even though we lost the first one by one goal. Each and everyone played a huge role today. Lastly, I would like to thank our supporters for showing up in numbers, which influences our performance in a very positive way,’’ added Zulu.
Zulu is one of the most decorated players in male netball, having returned home with a bronze medal from the Jamaican Male Netball Super League earlier this year. He says competing in international netball has advanced his skills as a player which he believes has benefitted his domestic club.
