Tennis SA Urgently Seek New CEO

Tennis SA (TSA) are still looking for a new Chief Executive with the position advertised after Andre Homan resigned in October after only seven months to pursue a career in commercial sports management.

TSA President Gavin Crookes told SABC Sport filling the post is a matter of urgency.

“I am running around like a headless chicken doing everything alone without a CEO, and I do not get paid. I volunteer my services to TSA and have my businesses to keep an eye on in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

We need a CEO urgently. We are calling on candidates to call the federation, and we will provide them with the job specs to see if they meet the criteria. We would consider someone with experience and a track record in sports administration,” said Crookes.

Crookes claims TSA is in a healthy financial state and has started various processes to find a new boss and hopes the process will not drag on for too long.

“We will outsource a company to handle the process as we want fairness. An agency will help us to get through the process more quickly. We invite everybody to apply for the position through our offices. The position for CEO position is officially open for anyone to apply. And the good news is that our sponsors have renewed their contracts with us, and we are looking to host a few international tournaments, and we would like to do that with the new man at the helm.”
