South Africa will face the Vitality Roses, who are ranked third in the world, at the Ovo Arena Wembley on 6 and 7 February 2027 before travelling to Leicester’s Mattioli Arena for the final test on 10 February.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Diale says it is crucial for the national team to measure themselves against the world’s best as they continue their preparations for the global showpiece.
“The Test Series against England forms part of our preparations for the 2027 Netball World Cup and our ongoing process of testing player combinations against top-four nations. While our primary focus is preparation and assessment, we are determined to win the series, even though the England Vitality Roses will enjoy home court advantage.
“It is always crucial to compete against the world’s best teams to measure our competitiveness, as well as mental and emotional readiness. It is always to gauge ourselves against them,” said Diale.
The Netball South Africa president also had a message for the players and technical team, stating that the federation has provided the necessary resources and support, while expecting the team to represent the country with pride.
“To our technical team and players; Netball South Africa has provided you with all the necessary support and resources. We expect you to give it your best. Represent South Africa with pride, dignity and discipline. Stay focused, and bring us victory,” added Diale.
Meanwhile, England Netball Chief Executive Officer Fran Connolly says the series will also be an important part of the Vitality Roses’ preparations for the World Cup in Sydney.
“This international series against South Africa forms an important part of our preparations ahead of the Netball World Cup in Sydney next summer. We now have two opportunities to test ourselves against world-class nations, including fixtures at home and away, that will put us in the best position possible heading into the summer,” she expressed.
