PFL Africa delivers on promise of an unforgettable night

Professional Fighters League (PFL) General Manager Elias Schulze says the promotion delivered on its promise of an unforgettable night, praising both the fighters and the PFL team working behind the scenes.

Season 2 of PFL Africa, took place on Friday evening at SunBet Arena in Tshwane.

Speaking exclusively to SABC Sport, Schulze credited all 22 fighters for producing an electrifying showcase, highlighted by Nkosi Ndebele’s statement victory as well as Justin Clark’s surprise win.

"We promised a heck of a show and I think the fighters and the team delivered on that. The energy from the start of the evening, even 6pm upward was electrifying, closed out in a bang there with a wonderful victory of the king, Nkosi Ndebele and of course a surprising victory I would say of Justin Clarke, just carry through that epic battle,” Schulze said.

“So, shoutout to all the fighters, all 22 of them really just kind of bare their soul off in the ring, in the cage, we were just really proud to be part of the effort."

Schulze revealed that the South African market shows more heart than any other he has encountered.

"Yeah, I mean they love their fighters. South Africans come out to support their own and we love that. It's not just their own, these are guys who've shown exceptionalism in their training and their discipline,” he added.

“Guys like Justin Kart, Nkosi, Peace who's a new kind of hero on the stage, I would say and in the arena.

“He just has an amazing personality, charismatic, so I think as in all places you obviously come out because it's a great fight but I think specifically here in South Africa there is more of a heart on display than I've seen in some other markets and that I think it's representative of this beautiful land."
