He etched his name in history by winning four consecutive Absa Run Your City 10km races, a record few will ever match.
He also secured three national 10km cross-country titles in succession, underlining his dominance.
Speaking to SABC Sport, the modest and hardworking athlete expressed gratitude to his coach Richard Mayer and his family for their unwavering support.
Mulaudzi, who also holds the national 5km crown, won almost every 10km race he entered with impressive times, leaving him delighted with a season he describes as unforgettable.
The 27-year-old is now turning his attention to his club’s annual event, the Boxer 5km in Durban on 5 October, where he enters as the overwhelming favourite. Confident of victory, he is aiming to win the third edition of the race and repay the faith of his sponsors.
For Mulaudzi, the highlight of 2025 was his triumph at the Absa Run Your City 10km in Durban, where he delivered a career-best 27:41 in near-perfect conditions.
He says that victory will always hold a special place in his heart.
Looking ahead to 2026, Mulaudzi revealed his ambitions of chasing Adriaan Wilschutt’s national 10km record of 27:28 and securing a top-10 finish at the World Cross Country Championships in Beijing, China in March.
