The 26-year-old has been a key figure in South Africa’s 4x400m relay team this year, contributing to gold at the World Relay Championships in China and bronze at the World Championships in Tokyo.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Isaacs said those experiences have fuelled his hunger for success on the global stage.
“It came down to selection for the final, and I’m proud of what the guys achieved for the country,” said Isaacs.
“It was a brilliant run in the rain. I played my part in two relay championships this year, and I’m really proud.”
Looking ahead, Isaacs said he is eager to balance his relay role with his individual ambitions.
“We’re on the right path as a relay team, and nothing can beat experience. It’s invaluable to share the stage with big stars like Wayde," he added.
"My goal now is to focus more on the individual 400m while still contributing to the team.” With the season now wrapped up, Isaacs is turning his attention to rest and recovery before the build-up to 2026 begins.
“I want to relax and recharge so I’m ready for the new season. I’ve learned not to give up, to stay consistent, and keep pushing because your time will come.
The Commonwealth Games will be the perfect platform to test myself individually and see where it takes me,” he concluded.
