The Proteas have already departed for India to help acclimatise early, as the world showpiece takes centre stage from 30 September.
Speaking at the national team’s official send-off in Johannesburg, Luus says that they have enjoyed a good build-up over the past few months.
"We are preparing really well, and focusing our training to be World Cup specific. It's been a very good year of build-up, and I think all the girls are in a really good space."
Luus says she is excited that India is one of the host nations and looks forward to playing in front of supporters who love and appreciate the sport.
The 29-year-old also praised Cricket South Africa alongside their sponsorship partner Suzuki, for pulling off a decent send-off for the national team on Wednesday.
"It's awesome to be here with everyone to celebrate cricket. I'm thankful to CSA and the sponsors for coming on board."
Sune adds that their main goal at the World Cup is to reach the final and return home with the trophy this time around.
"The first goal is to reach the final, which is something we have never done before. The ultimate goal is to lift that trophy, but before then, many things need to fall in place."
