IPL: Faf du Plessis fifty in vain as Delhi Capitals go down to Kolkata Knight Riders

Faf du Plessis top-scored with 62 but it was not enough as the Delhi Capitals went down to a 14-run defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL clash on Tuesday.

The former Proteas captain received no real support from the rest of the batting with only Delhi skipper Axar Patel striking 43 as his team could reach 190-9 chasing a target of 205.

Kolkata's West Indian spinner Sunil Narine was the chief destroyer for his team with figures of 3-29 while fellow slow-bowler Varun Chakravarthy took 2-39.

Earlier, the Knight Riders reached a total of 204-9 in their 20 overs thanks mainly to Angkrish Raghuvanshi who hit 44 off 32 balls while Rinku Singh smashed 36 off 25 deliveries.

It was the Knight Riders' fourth win in 10 matches this campaign and they are seventh in the standings while Delhi are fourth ater slipping to their fourth defeat.
