Ferreira, batting number 5, was unbeaten on 52 from 26 balls as the Royals chased down a target of 223 to get over the line in the over.
Rajasthan were given a scintillating start in the run-chase when Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 51 from 27 deliveries while teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his good form with 43 off just 16 balls.
It looked though as if Punjab Kings had clawed their way back into the contest with spinner Yuzvendra Chahal taking 3-36 in four overs to stunt the Royals.
Shubham Dubey though proved to be the perfect foil for Ferreira with 31 not out from just 12 deliveries as the Royals recorded their sixth victory in eight matches this season.
Punjab Kings had earlier got to a total of 222-4 in their 20 overs thanks largely a good finish by Australia's Marcus Stoinis, who scored an unbeaten 62 from just 22 balls.
Prabhsimran Singh had struck 59 from 44 deliveries at the top of the order while Cooper Connolly and captain Shreyas Iyer both hit 30.
