Dladla salutes squad as Durban City break their away game drought

Durban City caretaker coach Pitso Dladla says the players deserve all the credit for their first away win in 14 matches, after they emphatically thumped Orbit College 3-0 at the Olympia Park stadium in Rustenburg last night.

"We defended really well. Sometimes when we concede goals, we tend to look at the defenders and goalkeeper, but some of the goals come from laziness up front or losses of possession, but today what was pleasing was the fact that every player was willing to defend from the front."

City, last season’s champions in the National First Division, will be hoping that the momentum gathered from this win is not affected when they resume with the league programme next year. They are scheduled to play Polokwane City at home on January 25, and Dladla says this victory is music to their supporters’ ears as they head into the festive season...
