Australia beat Proteas women to secure ODI series victory

Australia dominated the rain-affected match against South Africa, securing a convincing 110-run victory in the final One Day International of the series.

The win, earned via the Duckworth Lewis Stern (DLS) method, sealed a 2-1 series triumph for Australia, giving them a four-point lead in the multi-format tour.

Key performances included Beth Mooney's unbeaten 82 off 91 balls and Alyssa Healy's 60 off 73 balls, setting a challenging target of 277/9.

South Africa's Masabata Klaas impressed with figures of 4/56. Australia's bowlers then restricted South Africa to just 127 all out, with Alana King taking 4/26.

Despite early setbacks, Australia built partnerships, with Healy and Ellyse Perry stabilising the innings. Mooney's resilience and Tahlia McGrath's contribution pushed Australia past 200 runs.

In response, South Africa struggled against McGrath and King's bowling, losing crucial wickets despite resistance from Sune Luus and Tazmin Brits.
