Bosch was only recently reintegrated into the squad after initially missing the tour of Sri-Lanka earlier in the year, after it was announced that she had been replaced in the touring party as a precaution.
She ultimately also stayed behind as they travelled to the Caribbean to face the West Indies, as she had not yet recovered.
In an exclusive interview with SABC Sport, Bosch detailed how the whole ordeal unfolded.
"It was definitely a tough couple of months. Being sidelined due to injury is never easy, and I've had my fair share of injuries and time out of the game, but this time was definitely the worst."
With it being a World Cup year, Bosch admitted to fearing for the worst and having doubts about her chances of playing at the tournament in India.
Although she has not played competitive cricket with the Proteas this year, she believes the selectors will make a decision in the team’s best interests. The final squad for the World Cup will be announced at Cricket South Africa’s headquarters in Johannesburg tomorrow.
She confirmed that she is now fully recovered and has a new sense of appreciation for the game.
Bosch has formed part of the recent alignment and training camps with the team, including the most recent one in Durban that ended yesterday, and as frustrating as the time away was for Bosch, she revealed that coach Mandla Mashimbyi was very supportive and would often advise her to keep her eyes on the prize.
"Coach Mandla and the management team were really supportive, and checked in with me regularly.
"I just remember coach Mandla telling me that whenever I'm feeling frustrated or wanting to go against the doctor's orders, I should just think ahead and look forward to the bigger picture, which is the World Cup."
