The 29-year-old Portuguese player has committed to a three-year contract, extending until 2026.

Expressing his enthusiasm on the Bayern website, Guerreiro stated, "When FC Bayern approached me, I swiftly made my decision. It is an honour to join this esteemed club, and I hold Thomas Tuchel in high regard from our time together at Dortmund."

Guerreiro conveyed his eagerness to contribute to the team's success, asserting, "As a player, I constantly crave the ball. I believe in controlling the game and creating opportunities. I will exert maximum effort to secure as many titles as possible. That is FC Bayern's philosophy."

During the previous season, Guerreiro topped the Bundesliga assist charts with an impressive tally of 12 assists. He played a pivotal role for Dortmund, particularly in the latter half of the season when they challenged Bayern until the final day for the title. To fill the void left by Guerreiro, Dortmund have already signed Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Guerreiro showcased his versatility last season, not only excelling as a left-back but also as a central midfielder. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel's plans for Guerreiro remain unknown, as Tuchel intends to utilize the summer break to effectively communicate his strategies to the players.

Guerreiro joins the ranks of six players who have transitioned between Bayern and Dortmund in the past decade. Robert Lewandowski, Niklas Sule, and Sebastian Rode have made the move once, while Mats Hummels and Mario Gotze have transferred twice, initially joining Munich before returning to Dortmund.
