The striker and defender were spotted taking part in a media-accessible session at Darsley Park on Tuesday, as preparations continued for Wednesday night's clash with PSV Eindhoven at St James' Park.
Newcastle resume their European campaign sitting 12th in the expanded 36-team group phase.
With two matches remaining, Eddie Howe's side have effectively secured qualification for the knockout stages, even if results were to go against them in the final fixtures. Teams finishing between ninth and 24th will enter a knockout round play-off next month.
However, Newcastle still have something tangible to play for. There remains an outside chance of finishing in the top eight, which would secure direct progression to the last 16.
To realistically achieve that, they would likely need to defeat PSV at home before travelling to Paris next week to face reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Their ambitions were dented over a month ago by a 2-2 draw away to Bayer Leverkusen, where a late concession proved costly. While that result damaged hopes of a top-eight finish, the point effectively confirmed progress to the knockout phase.
Osula's return to training is particularly encouraging. He was initially named on the bench for Newcastle's previous Champions League home match against Athletic Club but was withdrawn after sustaining an ankle injury and has not featured since.
Burn, meanwhile, is closing in on a comeback after suffering broken ribs and a punctured lung in a defeat to Sunderland just days after the Leverkusen draw.
While both players' involvement in training is positive, it does not guarantee either will feature against PSV.
