Vincent Kompany plays down Bayern injury concerns after Arsenal clash

Vincent Kompany has played down fears of serious injuries to Luis Diaz and Min-jae Kim after Bayern Munich's 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Both players were forced off during the match, raising concerns about their availability for Bayern's upcoming fixtures.

Kim was substituted at half-time, while Diaz, who was already carrying a knock before kick-off, came on in the second half but had to leave the field again shortly before full-time.

However, Bayern head coach Kompany offered a positive update after the match, suggesting neither player had suffered a serious injury.

"I hope the recovery timelines are similar for both. That means not too long, perhaps less than a week," Kompany said.

"I think we can already rule out any serious injuries."

Despite the encouraging assessment, both players are doubts for Bayern's Bundesliga trip to Freiburg on Sunday as the club monitors their recovery.
