Esau Mtsweni held the fort for Galaxy in Tuesday night’s away clash against Orlando Pirates, which ended in a 3-0 defeat, further compounding the club’s struggles following their parting of ways with Bernard Parker.
While Sukazi stopped short of confirming Adzem as Parker’s successor, he explained to SABC Sport what has delayed the official announcement.
"Immediately after speaking to Parker we embarked on finding a new coach, which we were able to find. We reached an agreement with another European based coach with a UEFA Pro-License. The only issue was the VISA which was delayed, but I received confirmation that his application has been approved and he just needs to go to the embassy for an interview, so we are expecting him very soon."
The Rockets are hoping their new coach will be in the dugout not long after their Carling Knockout round of 16 clash against Kaizer Chiefs later this month.
Should Adzem be delayed further, Sukazi remains confident that Mtsweni is more than capable to deliver positive results in the interim.
