The match at Villa Park added to Spurs' troubles, as their poor domestic form continued and key players limped off ahead of their biggest fixture of the season.
Sarr was substituted in the second half and went straight down the tunnel accompanied by medical staff, raising concerns over his availability for Wednesday's final in Bilbao.
Moore, introduced late on, also appeared in pain after being withdrawn in the final minutes of the match.
The Europa League final in Spain offers both Tottenham and Manchester United a lifeline in an otherwise disappointing season.
Not only is European silverware on the line, but the winner also secures a coveted place in next season's Champions League.
Manchester United approach the final on the back of their own Premier League defeat - a 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday - further underlining the importance of the midweek clash.
Should Sarr be ruled out, he will join a lengthy list of unavailable Spurs players including Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski, Dane Scarlett, James Maddison, Timo Werner, and Lucas Bergvall.
"Pape felt something in his back so we took him off as a bit of a precaution," Ange Postecoglou said in his post-match press conference.
"I don't think it's anything too significant speaking to him afterwards but he just felt something in his back and I think Mikey (Moore) was okay. It was fatigue as much as anything else. He hasn't played that sort of amount of minutes before."
