Thomas Frank warns Tottenham 'nothing is going to be easy' against Wolves

Wolves have endured a poor run with five defeats from their opening Premier League matches, following a winless pre-season. However, Frank believes the results do not tell the full story.

"We are facing a good Wolves side," Frank said. "Everyone knows they have not had the best start in terms of points, but if you look closely, the performances have been much better. Apart from the Manchester City game, all their defeats have been very tight. I expect a very difficult game."

Recent history is also against Spurs. Wolves have won four and drawn one of the last five meetings between the clubs, with Frank keen to change that record.

"It's a team we have not beaten in the last five games," he admitted. "That is the Premier League, you cannot take anything for granted. We need to come flying out, be ready for it, and with the fans behind us, I am confident we can perform well."

Spurs go into the game on the back of a 3-0 midweek win over Doncaster in the Carabao Cup, a result that lifted morale. But Frank stressed the importance of treating every game on its own terms.

"Every match has its own life, its own story," he explained. "I don't care if a team is unbeaten in ten or hasn't won in ten. We just prepare for Wolves, look at their strengths, and find areas where we can hurt them.

"The players are confident, but they also know they need to work very hard. Nothing will come easy."

Frank, who built his reputation at Brentford, also spoke about managing the demands of a busy schedule. "It is about constant small developments," he said.

"We have routines from experience, and it is always about preparing the team in the best possible way."
