The Tshwane giants surrendered a lead as the visitors fought back to earn a 2–2 draw in their CAF Champions League group stage encounter.
With the two sides set to meet again in Rwanda tonight, Morena has revisited a result Sundowns are eager to put behind them — by claiming victory away from home.
"We know how important it is to get victories at home, unfortunately like the coach said we had errors that converted them with two goals. It's something that we are gonna look into, we fixed it before the Tuesday game and we did very well with it,” Morena said.
“So, coming into this match, it's just to make sure that we don't make the same mistakes that we've done and convert the chances that we create."
Morena did not want to get ahead of himself but pointed out that Sundowns have to prove they were worthy finalists from last year’s edition.
"It's a long journey that we're still gonna take because we're still in the group stages and we still have games to play and to be honest we're taking each game as it comes because we have learnt a lot through the years that has been part and puzzle of the Mamelodi Sundowns family,” he added.
“To be honest we always learn, we learn each and every day, so, we learn from our mistakes, we learnt also last year, we could have done better in the final. This is also our opportunity to raise our hands again and make sure that we don't drop from where we left last year."
