Sundowns hungry for domestic success too – Malibongwe Khoza

The Brazilians booked their place in the final after drawing 3-3 on aggregate with Golden Arrows over two semifinal legs, setting up a mouthwatering clash against rivals Orlando Pirates on 10 October at a venue yet to be confirmed.

Khoza acknowledges the pressure is now firmly on them to complete the job and lift a trophy that has eluded them for years. 

"It feels amazing because it's been something we always wanted to do. A lot of people are complaining that we are not putting enough of our focus towards domestic competitions, so we made sure that we reach the final and try to win it."

Sundowns will now switch their focus to Betway Premiership action tonight when they host another KZN outfit in rookies Milford FC.

Khoza expects a tough fixture.

"We are expecting a very energetic Milford team that can be dangerous on the counter attack, but we are ready for them and we'll be giving our all for our supporters."

As newcomers, Milford have been able to hold their own and are currently in fifth place on the log with seven points from four matches, which is just three behind Sundowns.
