Seema was forced to make a substitution in the first half after Sekgota twisted his ankle in a hole inside the pitch.
Seema says the pitch conditions also slowed down their game.
"We are still gonna get the full report of how bad it is but yeah, I think if we also want to give ourselves a chance we need to try and make sure that we do something about the pitch because both teams played there but I think we were on the disadvantage because the way we play we need a proper surface,” Seema said.
“I can tell that this surface was not good for both teams but I think we suffered more, we couldn't get our fluidity of the game the way we want to play and it was nice because the rain was drizzling so if the field was leveled nicely we could have played better.
“We could have lost maybe still but I think we are gonna sit down and try and talk to our team, the management to say, we really, really, if we need to use the Dr Molemela slaughter house we have to look after the surface, it was bad and it has already costed us one player in the first half."
The Bloemfontein side lost 4-3 on penalties after playing a 3-3 draw against Richards Bay in a game that ended in extra time.
Seema did however praise his players for managing to turn around 3-1 lead to a draw.
"Yes, I'm positive because for the first time our team managed to come back. It's the first time, I can tell you towards the whole year last season 2025 we couldn't but in 2026 we managed,” the coach added.
“Every time the team was leading we couldn't come back but to come back and take the game to the penalties, I felt that we were there. However as professionals we need to focus more and be able to be calm and play under pressure."
