The public broadcaster further understands that Mokwena will approach Enzo Donis and Wendell Robinson to join him at his new club.
Donis holds a UEFA Pro License and is currently the assistant coach of the Togo national team, while Robinson has previously worked with Mokwena at Mamelodi Sundowns but was recently hired by AmaZulu as their goalkeeper coach.
It’s believed Mokwena sees Donis as an attractive option because not only does he hold the highest coaching qualifications required by CAF but can also speak several languages – most importantly French.
MC Algers will insist on Mokwena also having a local coach on the bench.
The 38-year-old Mokwena was a wanted man, with Pyramids, two clubs in the Gulf region as well as USM Algers all after his signature following his abrupt departure from Wydad Athletic Club.
As previously revealed by SABC Sport, the ex-Orlando Pirates coach was not willing to take up a job where he would not challenge for titles hence MC Algers became a project worth considering having won the Algerian league last season.
Mokwena is believed to still be ironing out the finer details of his contract with Algers despite the North African already confirming he is taking over.
