Richards Bay terminate Nkanyiso Zungu loan deal from Orlando Pirates

The Natal Rich Boys have taken decisive action against Zungu, who allegedly broke the club's protocols while on loan from Pirates.

SABC Sport understands the left-footed midfielder, who joined the club on loan from Pirates at the beginning of the season, has subsequently been released.

When contacted by Ukhozi FM's sports desk on Tuesday evening, the club refused to comment on the reasons for the player's axing in order to preserve his image, but confirmed that Zungu has indeed left the club.

The 27-year-old is now likely to return to his parent club, where he will be allowed to join training but cannot be registered to play for the remainder of the season.

During his loan stint at the KwaZulu-Natal outfit, the former Stellenbosch FC star managed only 11 league appearances and earned his last showing in the 3-2 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, in which he scored his first and only goal for the club, on 7 February.
