Report: Niclas Fullkrug desperate to leave West Ham and Premier League in January

Out-of-sorts Germany international striker Niclas Fullkrug is desperate to leave West Ham in the January transfer window, according to reports, but not to another Premier League club amid reported interest from Fulham.

Fulham are believed to be interested in signing Fullkrug but so are Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg and Hamburg and Serie A outfit AC Milan.

It has been an unhappy stint in East London for Fullkrug, who apart from being plagued by injuries, has managed just three goals in 24 appearances since joining the Hammers from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024.

He arrrived in the English capital with 116 goals from 340 Bundesliga appearances and having also made a name for himself at national team level with an impressive 14 goals in 24 matches since first being selected to represent his country in 2022.

According to TeamTalk, the 32-year-old is not interested in the idea of joining another Premier League club.

West Ham are willing to let him leave but only on the right terms - and that includes making back as much as possible from the 27 million pounds they spent on him.

At this stage, it seems very unlikely they would consider a loan deal because it is of little benefit to them.

Where Fullkrug decides to go next, he will be hoping it is the right choice in order to revitalise his career with is twilight years dawning up on him.
