Report: Arsenal linked with January move for Kenan Yildiz and Rodrygo

Rodrygo and Kenan Yildiz are among the headline names Arsenal are reportedly targeting, amid growing consideration over the potential sale of Gabriel Martinelli.

According to reports, the north London side are assessing whether a significant move on the left flank is required as part of their longer-term attacking strategy.

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo and highly rated Juventus talent Yildiz are both viewed as elite wide options who could bolster Arsenal's frontline.

Their emergence in the discussion has intensified debate among pundits and supporters over whether sporting director Andrea Berta is willing to sanction a major change on the left wing.

Martinelli has been a prominent figure for Arsenal since making his first-team debut in August 2019. The Brazilian left winger has scored 57 goals and supplied 30 assists in 243 appearances, establishing himself as a regular under multiple managers.

Nevertheless, questions over his consistency in front of goal have followed him throughout his time at the Emirates Stadium.

In the current campaign, Martinelli has featured 18 times, scoring six goals and providing one assist. His European form has been particularly eye-catching, with five of those six goals coming in the Champions League.

He has made club history by becoming the first Arsenal player to score in five consecutive Champions League matches, with strikes against Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich highlighting his impact at the highest level.
