Despite their recent success, Pep Guardiola's attention remains fixed on the Premier League title race, with the City manager insisting the battle is far from over.
City still have two league matches left to play and remain dependent on Arsenal dropping points if they are to climb to the top of the table.
Guardiola has refused to concede defeat in the race and is determined to ensure the destination of the title is not decided until the final day of the campaign. The Spaniard's focus is firmly on keeping the pressure on Arsenal for as long as possible.
"The important thing is to arrive at the end with options.
"All we want is to be with our people in the last game to try to fight. To extend for these last four or five days what we have to do is win at Bournemouth."
City's run-in has come during a demanding stretch of fixtures, with the club unhappy about the scheduling of rearranged matches.
There was frustration over the timing of both their clash with Bournemouth and last week's encounter against Crystal Palace as the packed calendar continued to test Guardiola's squad.
On the upcoming clash with Bournemouth, he added: "They are 16-17 games unbeaten. The run is unbelievable.
"The only chance we have is to win the game. We have to break that run, otherwise it will be over.
"When you arrive in the last fixtures and you are playing for something important, and the opponent is not playing for anything it is always easier.
"That is not the case tomorrow and they have had 10 days just thinking about us. Now we start to think about them.
"But it is what it is. We are used to it. It is not complicated. We have to win."
