Orlando Pirates to send more players Orbit Colleges way

SABC Sport understands that two more Orlando Pirates players are set to join Monnapule Saleng at Orbit College.

The public broadcaster has been informed that talks are at an advanced stage for the newly promoted side to add defender Yanga Madiba and midfielder Thuso Moleleki to their Betway Premiership roster for the 2025/26 campaign.

Orbit have already concluded a deal with the Soweto giants for out-of-favour winger Monnapule Saleng, offering him a fresh start following what has been a year dominated by a veil of secrecy regarding his future at the club.

Saleng now reunites with his former employers and coach Pogiso Makhonye in an effort to revive his career.

However, the decision to potentially loan out Madiba and Moleleki on the other hand is with a different approach in mind.

The duo are viewed as future prospects for Pirates, with Madiba having been promoted to the senior team by then-coach Jose Riveiro after returning from a season on loan at the same Orbit College while they were in the lower division.

A loan option now gives the duo a chance to impress new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, albeit from a distance, with the hope of being recalled at the end of the season to be part of the long-term future of Orlando Pirates.

It’s believed permanent moves for these players are not completely out of the question, but for now it appears as though they will move on loan.
